ADOPTING AN AGILE MINDSET- ACHIEVING VALUE, BENEFITS, INSPIRATION, AND DISCOVERIES.

In present era, projects are becoming complex on the demand of customers. Agile mindset has been adopted by companies to cope up with unpredicted environment stated by Conforto et. al.(2014). Agile project management became popular in 2001 by the release of Agile Manifesto for Agile Software Development. The various characteristics has made it successful like short iterative development cycles, flexible scope, incremental value creation, iterative and adaptive planning, active involvement of customer, and embracing change. Serrador, P(2015) claimed that various research has shown that Agile Project Management can be successfully applied on various industry sectors.

Agile mindset has helped the organizations to achieve values, benefits, inspirations, and discoveries in various ways. In 2001, Agile manifesto has been released in which various values and principles of new better way of thinking and development has been evolved claimed by Beck, K et. al.(2016). These values and principles are shown in figure 1.1 and 1.2.

Highsmith(2004) has explained the agility in five objectives those are continuous innovation, product adaptability, reduced delivery times, people and process adaptability, and reliable results. Due to great success in field of software industry Agile project management has spread in various other fields like hardware, development, real estate, education etc. López-Alcarria et. al.(2015).

There are various benefits of adopting Agility. Project team faces various challenges during the project. Gustavsson(2016) analyzed the common benefits which are teamwork, customer integration, productivity, and flexibility. The most important benefits of implementing each practices in Agile Project Management are given below in figure 1.3.

Agile Mindset has changed the way of working on a project. It helped teams to communicate with each other to have better ideas. The most important thing is a change can be made while working on a project. The dedicated team, daily stand-up meetings, active customer collaboration, and adoptive and iterative planning helped to make success of a project. The future of project management can be more efficient by adopting Agile mindset.

    Agile mindset is a process that involves understanding, collaborating, learning, and staying flexible to achieve high-performing results. By combining the agile mindset with processes and tools, teams can adapt to change and deliver incremental value to their customers . By adhering to a positive attitude towards changing perspectives, companies can remodel their culture to encourage collaboration and innovation without fear of failure.
