Tâm Nguyen

Tâm Nguyen (pronounced "Tom Wyn") provides consulting services to startups and small to midsize companies on technology selection and technical program management, helping to quickly bring high quality software products to the market. He has over 18 years of experience in software Research and Development, and has held senior technical and management positions at IBM Research and IBM software divisions, and at various startups, including Senior Director of Software at ReplayTV, VP of Engineering at EXP Systems, and Chief Architect at LogLogic. Tâm received his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley and started his career at IBM Research, where he invented a multimedia hub and led the development of the prototype into a product. He also architected and led the development of Net.Data, IBM's first web access product for the DB2 database. At ReplayTV, he negotiated with Panasonic's QA team to accept ReplayTV for shipment under its premier brand.
